Claims are very important to the server as they allow you to protect your builds from others. Anyone can make a claim as long as they have the resources to do so. Claims are actually required in order to make player shops at spawn, as well.
TL;DR To create a claim you can place one of the valid blocks (Iron Block, Gold Block, Diamond Block, Netherite Block) with a banner on top or on the side of it and then right-click the banner with a diamond.
Claims consist of three important parts: Source blocks, banners, and diamonds.
Source blocks of claims are defined as the base block in which you place your banner on top or on the side of. The acceptable blocks for the source block is Iron Block, Gold Block, Diamond Block, and Netherite Block. Each block have a different range of protection in the world, which can be seen below. Claim areas are based on chunks (press F3 + G in-game in order to see chunk borders), and the chunk the source block is placed in is treated as the center of the claim. It is also important to note that the area protected go from the height limit all the way down to the void.
Banners are also an integral part to claims. The banner that you use for your claim can be of any design and color, allowing for you to customize it as you please. The pattern used on the banner determines the list of trusted players to allow to interact within the bounds of your claim. Separate claims using the same banner pattern share the same list of trusted players. As an example, this allows you to have your main base protected from people but still allow people to interact with your farms, if you wish to share.
You can trust people for your certain banners by using the /trust (player) command. If you are holding a banner while running this command, it will trust the player specified for all claims that use that banner pattern. Additionally, you can trust people to all of your claims by running the command while not holding any banner. Running this command on a player who you have already trusted, will simply untrust them from the banner pattern. When untrusting a player without holding a banner pattern, it will actually remove their permission to interact with all of your individual claims as well.
Once your source block and banner have been placed like in the image, you can right-click the banner with a diamond. It will consume the diamond, play a sound and show some particles indicating that the claim has been created.
Deleting claims is super easy. Breaking the source block or the banner will be sufficient. The diamond used in creating the claim will be returned.
Player shops can be created in your claims. These shops use a barter system instead of a currency-based system like most servers.
TL;DR To create a shop, place a sign against a container (chest, barrel, etc.) and set its first line to be [Trade]. Then follow the message upon finishing creating the sign.
To start the shop creation process, simply place a sign either above or against a container (chest, barrel, etc.) with the top line of the sign as [Trade]. Once you hit "Done" a message will appear in chat directing you on the next step.
Next, you need to set your buying and selling items for your shop. The buying item is the item that you will be purchasing from other players, or the item that other players will be giving to you in exchange for your selling item. The message that appears in your chat upon creating the sign has highlighted text that you can click to set these items to the one you are holding in your main hand at the time of clicking it. Alternatively, you can run the commands /shop buying or /shop selling to do the same thing later on after the shop has been created. You can also just break the sign and it place it again to repeat the process.
In order for players to be able to use your shop, you need to keep it in stock with the item you are selling in the attached container block's inventory. You can do this manually, or with hoppers if you choose.
You can also close & open your shops using the /shop close and /shop open commands. When your shop is closed, other players cannot exchange items from it.
It is a known issue that sometimes item names are too long to show on the sign. You can shift-right click sign shops that are not yours to preview the shop's inventory, allowing you to see inside of the container's inventory without being able to take or put items in.
MC³ comes built-in with a few fully server sided tweaks that ever so slightly improve the quality of life for the survival experience.
If at least 25% of players are sleeping in a bed, the night will pass much quicker (although not instantly). You can watch as the moon and stars soar overhead!
Leaves decay significantly faster than normal. This makes farming trees much easier and quicker if you're looking to get every sapling you can out of it. Note that this does not affect player placed leaves, only naturally created ones by trees.
You can right-click crops with a hoe (the hoe does not take damage) in hand to harvest the crop and then automatically replant it!
Instead of getting Bad Omen when you kill a Pillager Patrol Captain, you need to right-click a placed Ominous Banner with a Flint and Steel. This will light it aflame, consuming it, and give you the Bad Omen effect. No more accidentally starting raids!
You can name hoppers in an anvil and place them down to have them use their name as their filter! Named hoppers will only pick up and receive items whos id match the hopper's name. You can also use wildcards (*) in the hopper name, however only at the start and end of the name. This does not effect unnamed hoppers, so you can still use vanilla item sorters if you'd like.
Sometimes, you jump on a farmland by accident and ruin your farm. However, if you have Feather Falling on your boots, this will no longer happen! Jump to your heart's delight!
Experience orbs no longer drop from things like mobs dying, block breaking, smelting items, or breeding animals. Instead, the experience will go directly into your hotbar! This saves on a tiny bit of lag, but also makes collecting lots of experience instantaneous!
This section is written out so that everyone can read and follow the rules equally. Nobody is exempt from these rules, and violation of them will result in a corresponding punishment. If you are aware of someone violating these rules, it is recommended that you let a staff member know privately so that it can be dealt with before it gets out of hand.
As a user on the server, you are expected to keep your account secure. Any activity on the server through your account is your responsibility and will result in a punishment regardless of whether it was really you or not.
We work hard to keep our server a safe environment for all people to come together and play Minecraft. It is asked of all users to follow these rules to the best of their ability in order to maintain this safe and fun environment.
These rules apply to anything said in any of the chats relating to MC³. This includes both Minecraft chats (both private and global) and Discord chats (voice, text, etc.).
We strive to create a fun and casual environment for people to come together. These rules are integral to that goal, and violation will result in a punishment.
Usage of any client modification that provide an unfair advantage over those who do not have the same modification is strictly prohibited. When installing modifications to your computer, use common sense and ask yourself "Does this give me an unfair advantage over other players?", if the answer to that question is yes, then do not use that modification or else punishment will follow.
